Seoul Made Agreement with one of tribe named Cia-cia to use Korean Character (Hangeul)
Seoul – There is a small tribe in Indonesia that made commitment by signing agreement with The Republic of South Korea Government regarding to the using of Korean Character as the character of its community.
Cia-cia tribes announced such agreement for adopting the uniqueness of Korean alphabet named Hangeul to be an official language .
Cia-cia lives nearby Bau-bau City in South of Sulawesi. The native language of the tribe is in the edge of extinction because of the absence of appropriate alphabet for sending message or communication among them.
On December 22nd, 2009 The Mayor of Seoul City Seoul Oh Se-hoon and Amirul Tamim the mayor of Bau-bau City made agreement for campaigning and spreading of Hangeul Character and cultural exchange programs, refers to the AFP, Tuesday (22/12/2009).
Seoul City Government has made plan to establish central of teachers training in Bau-bau City, as well as supporting education kits such as reading books in Korean language and human resources realated to such matter..
Korean is proud of their own language has 24 alphabet that was invented by Sejong King the Great in 1443.
